I tutored a student in our school system who was from France (I had this opportunity because I took French in High School and our school offered Cadet Teaching programs). I did this for 2 years through the school and worked with this student after school as well. I also tutored a student who was going to be held back for the second time in sixth grade. He was given the opportunity to tutor with me and take a test to move to the next grade, which he as able to do. My passion in life is helping children who struggle to acheive academic success. With my degree through University of Phoenix, I am qualified to assist in classrooms. My classes focused on instruction planning, understanding students at their age level, working with students who have disabilities, and the importance of family communication.

Hobbies
I am very easy going, patient, and adaptable. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. I love to laugh and often inject humor into every aspect of my life. At the same time, I understand the importance of a dead line and like to take a prepared approach. Some of the things I enjoy doing: learning! I love to learn, even tidbits of random information. ***In regards to availability, because I work and go to school in Fort Wayne, I would be available to tutor in that area as well. I prefer to meet at a central location, such as a library or school, to reduce distractions.
